CALM IN THE FACE OF NATURAL DISASTER
A Greek–Egyptian Creative Riot: Four Little Monsters for ETHNIKI
Back to Greece—our favourite creative battleground.
With TOP CUT’s frame-sculpting, BBDO/ATHENS’s creative magic, and ETHNIKI’s steady hand, we dove headfirst into our most chaotic, playful adventure yet.
A campaign starring four tiny creatures teaching us to face disasters—with humour, personality, and crafted storytelling.
Building the Four Creatures — From Reality to Myth
First, we built the monsters on real foundations.
Each disaster scenario began with something deeply human and relatable—everyday risks and real behaviour. No shortcuts before the magic.
We built their DNA: quirks, fears, reactions, humour, physical rhythm—each creature instantly recognisable, even in silence.
Crafting the Anatomy — Cute, Felty, and Purpose-Built
We leaned into soft, felt textures—cute, warm, tactile. But every detail had a purpose.
A bold balancing head-ball whose entire structure wobbles on instinct.
A restless bird-like flyer, always hovering on the edge of escape.
A volatile flammable hairball, chaotic by design.
And the techno kid, with gaming equipment literally fused into his silhouette — part creature, part console.
Each silhouette: function, humour, identity—amplified.
The Turning Point: The Greek Voice-Acting Takeover
Then came the unexpected joy—thanks to our Greek partners.
Forget voice references—the team sent full-on acting videos: impersonations, micro-emotions, comedic beats, pure Greek rhythm.
These sketches changed everything for our animators.
They taught timing, showed us personality in motion, and gave our creatures Greek soul and ZANAD madness.
World-Building: Sets, Outfits, Posters, Gadgets, and… Air Fresheners
Characters locked—we built their worlds.
Every set, from bedroom corners to living-room chaos, was built with obsessive, human detail—posters, gadgets, even air fresheners, all crafted to feel lived-in.
Every set and outfit was custom-built—and, honestly, legally approved.
(Yes, we’ll admit that.)
We wanted four worlds you could actually step into.
Four homes that felt real.
Four environments that amplified personality, humour, and intent.
A Cross-Border Collaboration That Just Clicked
From grounded scenarios to felted monsters, Greek acting marathons to handcrafted worlds—this campaign is what happens when Egypt and Greece collide through creativity.
Two cultures.
Four creatures.
One wild, entertaining message.
That’s the ZANAD secret recipe!
