ZANAD, meaning ‘spark that lights a fire’, is an independent animation production studio that has been sparking ideas internationally for over 100 brands since 2007.
Based in Cairo, Egypt, our team of visual storytellers has developed passionate, gutsy work in the form of anything that moves for advertising agencies, top-notch directors, and global brands, breaking boundaries on medium, form, and process, forever igniting new ideas through the playful-free-spirit of animation.

Our work style is agile, non-linear, and collaborative.
Every artist at the studio is involved through the work experience, incorporating their perspectives and insights to give our work a well-rounded and cohesive treatment. We even involve our clients, turning them into partners that engage with the work through every stage.
We receive briefs, come up with scripts and concepts, explain them through story and mood boards, style and illustrate the visuals, eventually moving them to create the outcome. This allows us to put out work we are all collectively proud of and have ownership over in a productive, simple, and collaborative way.
