We pulled out our grungy brushes and added beards onto a few adolescents and a few iconic thunderbolts here subliminally for Zain’s 5G BOLT campaign. Our 2D artists designed the skull character from scratch. Our compositor went nuts on the fish eye and biscuit scene.&nbsp;

We had this concept of victorian gone kitch, inspired by René Magritte, The Avalanches/Frontier Psychiatrist video, and still life drawing in art schools in earlier years when we used to collect different elements and place them against a weird velvet structure that looked like ghosts most of the time! We created a CGI scene of both artist standing/setting covered in a velvet blanket, “Casper the friendly ghost look alike.” The elements from each track were placed artistically “a wood log and saw, plants, a pack of crackers ... etc.” lit in a renaissance feeling like the still life composition.

A DAY AT...

At some point, our team started getting nightmares of chocolate simulations from this ad. Think of “The Shining” but with chocolate ‘blood’. Our wacoms definitely saw the worst of us as we designed everything from scratch to make CGI chocolate look delicious and real.&nbsp;

CELEBRATING CDM UPLIFT

Considerably the biggest film festival in the region, we were excited to craft all the film animations for the highly-acclaimed Gouna Film Festival including the logo reveal, moving posters, visuals for performances, and award presentations. Gouna is a beautiful all-year getaway destination that inspired us to use arches that mimicked the sun, moon, tides, and sea waves. Waves are simulated in the breaks and transitions, creating a film-noir-inspired shadow cast in every frame.For the Reda Troupe song, one of Egypt’s most acclaimed dance groups, we created illustrations and kaleidoscopic compositions that reflect the modern take of pure Egyptian music using the visual identity of the film festival. The video loops were cinematically hip indents.
